A List of my favorite Bible Verses

Acts 2:21 And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 2:24 Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pangs of death, since it was not possible for Him to be held by it.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of Him, both His eternal power and divine characteristics, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being perceived by the things made so that they would be without excuse.

Romans 8:1-2 There is now then no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has freed me in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death.

Romans 8:26 Moreover, in like manner the Spirit also joins in to help us in our weakness, for we do not know for what we should pray as is fitting, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Romans 8:37 But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.

Romans 9:16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.

Romans 10:9-13 That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heard there is believing unto righteousness, and with the mouth there is confession unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes on Him shall not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all and rich to all who call upon Him; For “whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 Because the God who said, Out of darkness light shall shine, is the One who shined in our hearts to illuminate the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and now out of us.

Galations 2:20 I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Ephesians 3:16-19 That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man, that Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be full of strength to apprehend with all the saints what the breadth, and length and height and depth are, to know the knowledge surpassing love of Christ, that you may be filled unto all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:20 But to Him who is able to do superabundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power which operates in us.

Philippians 1:19-20 For I know that for me this will turn out to salvation through your petition and the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether though life or through death.

Philippians 3:7-14 But what things were gains to me, these I have counted as loss on account of Christ. But moreover I also count all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all thing and count them as refuse that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is out of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is out of God and based on faith, to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if perhaps I may attain the out-resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained or am already perfected, but I pursue, if even I may lay hold of that for which I also have been laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I do not account of myself to have laid hold; but one thing I do: Forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called me upward.

Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpassed every man’s understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 7:25 Hence also He is able to save to the uttermost those who come forward to God through HIm, since He lives always to intercede for them.

1 Peter 2:2-3 As newborn babes, long for the guileless milk of the word in order that by it you may grow unto salvation, if you have tasted that the Lord is good.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxiety on Him because it matters to Him concerning you.

2 Peter 1:10-11 Therefore, brothers, be the more diligent to make your calling and selection firm, for doing these things you shall by no means ever stumble. For in this way the entrance into the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly and bountifully supplied to you.

2 Peter 3:15 And count the long-suffering of our Lord to be salvation, even as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you.

Revelation 12:10-11 And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ, for the accuser of our brothers has been cast down, who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they loved not their soul-life even unto death.

  1. This is a great idea for a post!

But I would also like to know why these are your favourite verses 🙂 And why you emphasised certain parts of different verses.

You could turn each verse into a post, if you want to 🙂 (Just a thought!)

    • Thanks for the input! I’ll try to add some explanations sometime.

And some of my posts are going to be based on my favorite verses. My post for next week is going to be on 1 Peter 2:2-3, so that will explain to some extent why those are some of my favorite verses. I’ll probably turn some of the other verses into posts as well…
